Why We Love The Manoah Anguilla!

If you love the beach - a spectacular beach - with the whitest/softest sand, a sea made of mesmerizing shades of turquoise blue, being a short stroll to the Point on Shoal Bay (my favorite spot on the island), comfy loungers, super shading umbrellas, an on-site beach bar, a sparkling clean swimming pool, and then being just steps to your lovely room you too will love The Manoah!

This was our 3rd stay here and our first stay post Irma. The property looks amazing! The gardens - flowering plants and palms - have been replanted and are blooming. The pool deck has been replaced and all lounge chair cushions recovered. While here one would never know a major hurricane thrashed the island.

This trip we stayed the whole week at Manoah as our other 2 stays we split our stay with other properties and were sad to leave. We stayed in Standard Room 101 which had a large bathroom with double vanity, huge free standing tub, and a large rain head shower. The bedroom was spacious offering a very comfortable bed. Other reviews have said that they found the beds hard but in this room, and our previous stays in 302, the bed was very pleasant. The white cotton bed linens were soft.

Super fluffy white towels were brought twice daily. My only complaint is that the glass doors to the shower and water closet were super heavy....so we just left them open. The only thing we lacked in the room was a bottle opener. We asked at the bar and given one. We had a nice little patio with loungers and table and 2 chairs. The best thing about our room was we were just a few steps to my most favorite beach - Shoal Bay!

We love that at Manoah we are in the center of the most beautiful stretch of beach on Shoal Bay. We could take walks in either direction and how wonderful to again be able to walk all the way past the point to Serenity.

Although Manoah is in walking distance to several beach bars and dining options during the days we pretty much stayed put in our bubble of beauty. However a few drives to Jacala for lunches and a stop at Grand Vin de France for some wine was a easy 20 minute drive. For dinners we loved that we were an easy and quick 7 minute drive to favorite dining spots.

Falcon's Nest is a casual toes-in-the-sand beach bar for delicious grilled lobster and snapper. Artisan is a Neapolitan pizza restaurant that not only makes great pizza but also offers delicious salads like their burrata, tomato, and arugula salad, a heavenly lobster risotto, and crazy delicious flavors of gelato. Our most favorite and special fine dining restaurant on all the island - Hibernia - is also very close!

The staff was all very professional. Letia checked us in quickly and smiling Princel escorted us to our room. Marcia had a little pitcher of milk ready for us in the morning as we made our coffee in the room. Stacey made the best Pain Killers. Carl, the beach attendant, kept the beach clean, set up our loungers and umbrellas and checked on us throughout the day. Andrea at the front desk spent a good deal of time helping me print out boarding passes the morning of our departure.

We have been to Anguilla 23 times now and Manoah fulfills all we need and wish in a hotel. We feel we get so much for our money, especially in high season. We love Manoah so much we have reservations for May when the rates and Shoal Bay are even better!
